What it means, is that forums don't delete posts from the server. This is the reason why deleted posts still appear as quoted."Maybe the posts were deleted but not for good,"
What does that even mean? Then take off the "Delete" option.
Users/members/readers should then know that when they post something here, and they delete it (what - they can't decide to delete it??), then it doesn't mean that it is deleted
"If the information and material on this forum is too much for you, then don’t visit the forum."
This forum is not "too much for me". That is definitely not the right wording.
But I don't have time for it anymore, for sure.
I tried to explain what I thought to be the problem, from a user’s perspective, but you transformed this situation into an unpleasant one. It is not the first time I notice this with your comments, but I just let it be.
I had comments on VC that I deleted, it took me 3 weeks and daily about 6 hours of clicking on the same button, and many of them reappeared. On both LSA and VC I asked the owner to delete my account and postings, no answer, and as a user, I understood that it was my problem.
Both other forums I am aware of, have owners, who are as controlled as any other tool, and people should appreciate the owner of a platform who fights for the right cause, which is the only reason I am here, on Cezara's forum and not on a different one.
The owner of vigilantcitizen made this clear through his actions, same with the owner of Lipstickalley, where I was threatened and who are famous for exposing people's IP, emails, and personal details. Yet....because they are controlled forums, nothing happened to either of them.
Maybe you are not aware of the difference between this forum and rest of similar platforms, but in terms of rules of editing/deleting it's the same.
I only tried to gave you an explanation from my experience with the rules and design of other forums, who are built the same way.
I expose in here the lies and manipulation, as much as I can, and how it affects our life and death. There are people who contribute and help raise awareness.
Nobody is forcing you to visit the forum, if this is a waste of time for you.
Again:
- every forum works differently and if one is set to not allow posts to be deleted, then that's the rule and as an end user you have to accept the rules
- to my knowledge and experience no owner of a forum deletes accounts
- all posts on social media are "soft" deleted, meaning they are still there. That's how sometimes tweets and entries from the past appear, not just because someone has saved them
