They are puppets, they couldn't make their own decisions
Not as underage people, but as adults they are the one signing the contract and according to their statements, they just resigned for another 7 years...
Most of these Kpop groups, esp those with 4 or more members, are going to follow HYBE's BTS template to success- remember when RM said "Asia paved the way"🤣...
The BTS template consisting of: whether it's chart manipulation, doing interviews left & right w/local or global press, lots of Weverse lives, & making a fool of themselves- whether in their Welives, or on concert stage etc , Stray Kids were just the next "distraction" in some cases since BTS is in military.
Namjoon gets stupider with each Grammy award.
Yeah, I noticed that it was general consensus to put Stray Kids in the spotlight during BTS's
vacation military timeout. It is obvious that the competing labels somehow reached this agreement, because I don't see any attempts to "compete" with stray kids at this time.
During BTS's time, it was alway the attempt of trying to push other bands, but with BTS gone, it is stray kids that are mostly are being sent to awards/in the spotlight, are mentioned more than other groups and surprisingly, there is veeerrrry little coming from TxT and/or Enhypen.
TxT announced their break, which is weird, given the fact that this would have been their time to take over BTS's spot. The whole TxT smells funny to me, but this is not the thread for TxT.
The problem with Stray Kids is - it doesn't deliver. They are all capable to surpass BTS, which was also waaaaaayyy too much pushed with the notion, they are all mutating to one person and this was often annoying. With Stray Kids it's a bit different, they have the advantage to make it plausible that they are single individuals, but they lack the ambition and the interest.
Their only individual who is/was extraordinary is Hyunjin, but he's Jungkook No2 now and I don't see any potential with the rest as individuals.
At the beginning I noticed that they are better than BTS, but...that's not difficult. The problem is - their songs....aren't good. They try to copy a bit the old BTS songs, when they were not so gay, at the same time their old songs are mostly stolen, so it's not theirs either.
Stray Kids had the best styling I've seen in a kpop band, yet this ended with their newest releases in July/August this year.
They have almost a good balance in giving the less-important members enough spotlight to bring them all to light, as oppose to BTS, which was heavily concentrated around some people, with the rest being invisible - I can't remember one moment of Jin. Haha! No, there is. I just had to think about it, and despite visualizing some of their videos, there is only one moment I remember of ever seeing Jin as part of BTS - that's the middle of Fake Love when he appears in the middle saying - coz it's a fake-A-lob fake-A-lob fake-A-lob
Also Yoongi with his hunchback. He only appears on screen during his "I am alcoholic trying to be rapper"- moments.
What Stray Kids lack is music, and they should let Hyunjin be more in the spotlight. I said previously that they "almost" have a good balance with equal spotlight-time, but there is always too little of Hyunjin.
I understand, he steals the spotlight, but so was Jungkook and it was what held the band together, what made them interesting. I
Instead, in Stray Kids they put Felix in the middle to much, and it's too much concentrated on his fairy-look, with his blonde hair. Felix with black hair like the recent event, looks ....normal.
So we're back to the old issue of making it tooooo much about looks.
Another issue is that they only make Felix sing - as far as I notice - with his very deep voice, which brings a monotony that has started to annoy me the more I listen of their songs.
It is not organic. It doesn't suit. Alright, you use it once as an effect, you use it twice. But not ALL THE TIME.
In the end - yes, they use the same strategy. They even copied BTS's "Idol"'s melody. Then again...with BTS you never know whose song it really is.

I said this before and it's a good time to remind it - Felix is very gay and looks as if he's having the same mental issues as Jimin. This kind of erratic behaviour is to be found in some of Jimin's appearances on stage - erratic, hyper, aggressive.
Jungkook also had his moments of unnatural hyper-activity. His weren't gay/aggressive.
